Easter and Christmas?

The Sheep are very excited about Easter. But They'd like to go back a few months to Christmas. Why you ask? Well... They wrote a little poem about it. They hope you like it!

The baby born on Christmas day was no ordinary babe
He came to live a perfect life to show us all the way.
He didn’t have to come at all, He could have let us be
But love compelled Him to the birth that has changed everything.
Why talk of Christmas on Easter morn? Why mix these holy days?
The babe, the cross, the man, the way, how can these things relate?
Without the manger, without the life, there’s no purpose for the tomb.
Other people died that way, forgotten and decayed too soon.
The difference is this Man who died was perfect, sinless, God
He CHOSE to die to wash us clean; to pay what we cannot
For ONLY He was born that day to die, but then to rise
Because it took a perfect God to pay the ransom price!

Happy Easter!

Top O' The Mornin' To Ya!! (And the REST of the day to yerself!)

The Sheep wanted to celebrate St. Paddy's Day in style, so how better than Corned Beef and Cabbage and Bagpipes? That's right. Even though They aren't Irish, They know what to do on this very Irish of holidays!!

(no green beer, though - we don't know if They're old enough!)

Also, The Sheep learned a VERY interesting fact today! Lot's of people will say "Happy St. Patty's Day." But today The Sheep learned that "Patty" is the Feminine spelling and St. Patrick was NOT a female - Right?! So the proper spelling is "Paddy." It sounds the same though.

Here is a website full of all the information ya' be needin' to know about St. Paddy's Day!!

(P.S. don't forget to wear green!!)

The Sheep and The Sunshine!

The Sheep decided that it was too cold here in Spokane, so They got on an airplane again and headed to Phoenix, AZ. Well, They really ended up in the mountains above Phoenix, They weren't ready for summer weather yet, just spring-like weather. While They were up there They found  a couple of interesting sights.

Here They are catching a glimpse of the south rim of the Grand Canyon! It was windy that day and in the 60s, much better than the 40s it was when They left Spokane!

Then They headed to this really cool place called Tonto Natural Bridge where They saw what Arizonans think a waterfall looks like :)

In Arizona's defense, there WAS a little water trickling down there:)

Here is what the "waterfall" looked like from underneath. The Sheep were too chicken to make the trek down so I had to get a photo by myself. Chicken Sheep, who has ever heard of such a thing? Is that like a Chicken Nugget? Two things that don't really belong together, but they are together? Something to think about.

The Sheep decided that the scenery was pretty and worth showing you even though They aren't in ALL the pictures.

I tried to tell The Sheep that even small children were brave enough to go down to the bottom where the water landed, but They wouldn't hear it.

The Super Seahawks!!

The Sheep had a great time at the Superbowl yesterday! They aren't very good at dressing the part, but They represented by Their spirit!

Okay, obviously They weren't AT the Super bowl, but they had good seats in front of the T.V.

They were really proud of how the Hawks played. And after the game how they gave each other so much credit! It was refreshing to hear each person say something about how much of a team They are. One guy can't win a game, it takes all 11...errr 12!

The Sheep are very excited for next year!

Now on to the Olympics!!!

The Sheep at a Deer Convention???

Today, The Sheep heard a rumor that The Deer were having a convention in a field nearby. Well, They decided that They'd try to crash... here's what happened.

As usual, The Deer are hard to see, so I'll explain. It started out with about 20 or so Deer in the field. Some were lying around, others were standing and snoozing (so it seemed). Then of course, They got wind of The Sheep and The Deer started to get restless.  The Sheep had to get a little bit creative in order to get a photo. The Deer left the field They had been relaxing in and crossed the dirt road to another field, only not all of Them left. So, that left Them split between two fields. The Sheep raced around to get a better view.

Eventually, The Deer started to ignore The Sheep and play amongst Themselves. Then The Sheep got bored and left.

What can you do?

The Sheep and The Blue Heron

Yesterday, The Sheep were out in the neighborhood for a walk. They must have been making noise, because they startled a Blue Heron enough for It to fly to the next pasture. The Sheep followed and got a couple of photos, but The Sheep couldn't get close enough for The Heron to show up well (remember The Owl?) Here is what we captured...

Yes, it looks like the same photo over and over again, but it's not. The Heron is flying away in front of The Sheep, you'll probably have to zoom in!

The Heron didn't seem very interested in The Sheep, but flew away as soon as They got "close". The Sheep have heard rumors of this Blue Heron... or One very much like it... in the area, now They've seen it for Themselves.

Hopefully next time it's in the neighborhood, Their Lovely Assistant, Dave, will we on hand with His camera and get some better photos.

Freezing Fog can be really cool!!

The Sheep have been out and about today in Their neighborhood. The Fog has been amazing these last few days and The Sheep are hoping that it comes through in the photos.

I know that these photos don't do justice to this beautiful phenomenon, but we tried.

Also, The Sheep went up above the fog just to see what things looked like up there. They decided that living "under the circumstances" was not for Them. They are determined to live "above the circumstances". Somewhere under all that fog is the western part of the City of Spokane!!
